Energy density in general relativity: a possible role of cosmological constant
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider a static spherically symmetric charged anisotropic fluid source of finite physical radius (∼ 10−16 cm) by introducing a scalar variable Λ dependent on the radial coordinate r under general relativity. From the solution sets a possible role of the cosmological constant is investigated which indicates the dependency of energy density of electron on the variable Λ. Bulk Viscous Bianchi Type VI0 Cosmological Model in the Self-creation Theory of Gravitation and in the General Theory of Relativity
In the second self-creation theory of gravitation and in the general theory of relativity, Bianchi type VI0 cosmological model in the presence of viscous fluid is studied. An exact solution of the field equations is given by considering the cosmological model yields a constant decelerations parameter q=constant and the coefficients of the metric are taken as A(t)=[c1t+c<su...

متن کاملVacuum Energy and Universe in Special Relativity
The problem of cosmological constant and vacuum energy is usually thought of as the subject of general relativity. However, the vacuum energy is important for the Universe even in the absence of gravity , i.e. in the case when the Newton constant G is exactly zero, G = 0. We discuss the response of the vacuum energy to the perturbations of the quantum vacuum in special relativity, and find that...
متن کاملOn the Running of the Cosmological Constant in Quantum General Relativity
We present arguments that show what the running of the cosmological constant means when quantum general relativity is formulated following the prescription developed by Feynman. Recently [1–3] there has been some controversy about the meaning of a running cosmological constant in quantum field theory. In sum in Ref. [1], it is argued that the invariance of the physical vacuum energy density und...
متن کاملObserved Cosmological Constant is Predicted by Curved-Spacetime Renormalization
I show that a cosmological constant of roughly the observed magnitude in the present universe is a consequence of general relativity and quantum field theory in curved spacetime, and was first predicted by Parker and Toms in 1985. This prediction follows from the “new partially summed form” of the propagator in curved spacetime. The effect is based on the contribution of massive particles to th...
